The TOEFL or Test Of English as a Foreign Language is an exam that measures fluency in and knowledge of the English language. Based on the English that is spoken in the United States, it is developed by the company, ETS, as are other exams such as GRE. The certificates awarded for passing this exam are internationally recognised especially by the educational institutions at which they are mainly aimed.
