The HSK (HànyŭShuǐpíngKǎoshì) or Standard Chinese Language Exam is standardised on an international level and aimed at people who are not native speakers.

Anyone who is interested can enrol and sit the exams, which are organised by the Chinese Institute of Gipuzkoa.

Students must have this certificate if they want to be admitted to Chinese faculties and it is very useful for working and establishing relationships with China as it is recognised by the institutions, agencies and companies that demand command of Chinese.

All students can do any of the six written tests. To do so, they must know at least 150 words for the basic level (A1) and over 5,000 for level 6 (C2).
