Over its 40 years of experience in the field of language teaching, Elduaien has followed a policy of constant improvement and has widened its scope to the point where today it offers a large number of language classes (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Basque, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Modern Greek) as well as Spanish for foreigners and school reinforcement classes.
All new students who wish to begin on one of our courses must undergo an entrance test based on the European levels established by the ECFR (European Common Framework of Reference for languages) the purpose of which is to determine the extent of their knowledge of the language concerned so that they may start on the course which best adapts to their linguistic capacity. Each term, students receive a comprehensive report detailing their progress and, on completion of the course, they receive a diploma which certifies the level attained.
We also have a book and DVD library with a wide choice of material. All our students may take advantage of this service, which is free of charge.
With a view to helping our students as far as possible, all those who are preparing for an official exam may attend complementary classes at no extra cost in order to further their preparation. The number of extra hours offered depends on the number of hours the student attends class in his/her group, i.e., if the student has three hours of classes per week then he/she may attend another three hours of classes in a group of the same characteristics and the same level.
We have a wide range of courses on offer in order to meet the student’s requirements, priorities and prospects :
The academy
Classes are given in our own centres from 7:00 to 22:00 and these may be one-to-one or in a group.
Enterprise
These are courses aimed at companies that wish their employees to be trained in the field of languages. On this type of course greater attention is paid to a more specific language, which is focused on different areas in the Business world: administration, conferences, economy, the international market, etc.
Extracurricular classes in schools
Our teachers travel to schools to give classes during the time reserved for extracurricular activities. Groups are formed by the students from the school and are governed by the same criteria as the rest of the groups in the academies with the exception that, in these groups, the academy adapts to the school calendar.
Summer
In order not to lose the rhythm of the course or give one’s knowledge of the language a boost, the Academy offers the following: Intensive Courses. Children's play centre.
Spanish for foreigners
The duration of these courses, which are aimed at foreign students, varies according to the time of year and the programmes are especially designed for groups of adults or young people.
Reinforcement classes for groups
These groups are created to reinforce school studies. The students are incorporated into small groups from primary education, secondary education (E.S.O.) or “A Level” and they have a highly qualified teacher to give them whatever extra support they may need in mathematics, physics, history, economy, Basque, English, Latin, etc.
